Pegasus Capital Advisors Names Jean Rogers As Senior Operating Advisor. She Will Work on Global Fund for Coral Reefs

Pegasus Capital Advisors, an private equity investing firm has named Jean Rogers as as a Senior Operating Advisor. She previously served as Global Head of ESG | Energy Transition Investment Committees & Portfolio Company Advisor at Blackstone.

Pegasus focuses on emerging markets green infrastructure and invests in renewable energy, energy efficiency, waste & water, and nature-based solutions assets. It has a diversified global portfolio of mid-sized, scalable projects in the fields of sustainable ocean production, ecotourism, and sustainable infrastructure that benefit coral reef ecosystems and the people who depend on them.

Rogers joins Pegasus Capital to help scale Article 9-aligned investments that build resilient systems across food, water, energy, and public health, driving real impact in the Global South. “Pegasus has been strengthening access to clean energy, regenerative agriculture, water systems, and ocean health — and creating jobs — for decades, not just making promises,” Rogers said. “The Pegasus team asks ‘what needs to be built, and how can we structure the financing to optimize the outcomes?’ not ‘where can we park capital?’ Embracing complexity, contrarianism, and sustainability, Pegasus gets what finance is for. I’m excited to amplify their impact in the Global South.

Pegasus said Rogers has been a trailblazer in sustainable finance, from founding the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board to helping deploy more than $12 billion in climate and energy investments at Blackstone. She has been Managing Director – Sustainable Investing, ESG Research, Conservation Finance & Energy Transition for her own consulting firm, Rogers & Associates and served at the Jane Goodall Institute as
Independent Board Director | Portfolio Company Governance | Advisory Board Member.

In a post the company said “Jean’s leadership comes at a pivotal moment in closing the annual $2.5 trillion climate finance gap across emerging markets. We’re thrilled to have her with us as we enter a new phase of growth.”
